Robert Frost’s musing verse, “good fences make good neighbors” was the inspiration for Viridian’s newest paneling line. Our founders’ pet project to keep old fence boards from going to the landfill has blossomed into its own recycling operation, and a gorgeous new paneling line.
Our weathered redwood has been exposed to years of sun, rain and snow to create a patina that is unmistakable and genuine. All material is kiln dried, lightweight and precision milled for seamless installation.
“We chose Viridian Reclaimed Woods paneling for our restaurant’s interiors because the expert milling made installing it much easier than many other reclaimed options. We also loved the fit and finish of their products. We did a horizontal installation and a wall-and-ceiling installation at 55/35 degree angles and they both look great. The team was super helpful in choosing the products and guiding me through the entire process from ordering to installation.”

” As an emerging brand Dog Haus started off with a unique look and feel, but we knew as expansion escalated we would really need to do something very special with all of our spaces. Viridian’s reclaimed wood paneling was the icing on the cake for us. They really brought some crucial surfaces to life in our stores complimenting our overall design. Aside from the product, it has been nothing but a pleasure to work with the team at Viridian. We are a brand that believes great customer service is the most important thing you can offer your customers. We at Dog Haus are convinced Viridian operates on the same philosophy. We look forward to many future projects with them as we continue to expand across the nation. “

Viridian Wood extinguishes the adage “you get what you pay for”. The product is not only comparable in price but the quality is exceptional. Neptunes is proud to showcase the reclaimed wood restaurant tables and has used many of their product for both interior and exterior finishes.
“Neptunes Raw Oysters and Seafood Bar is a new restaurant that just celebrated its grand opening in Southern California. The owners wanted a design that would allow a modern and classic look to coexist. The vintage reclaimed wood took a modern twist when united with black, white and specialty lighting.
All representatives at Viridian Wood we’ve communicated with on the phone and in email have always been extremely helpful and always kind. Each person has worked with us closely and efficiently with each correspondence. They always respond quickly and even follow up with communication.”

At Passion Fish restaurant in Bethesda Maryland, Viridians Good Neighbor reclaimed wood paneling was used in conjunction with 9wood’s ceiling system to create a strong visual element above the bar and tie into our concept of “a day at the bay”. We also used the paneling as wall cladding in other parts of the restaurant to add warmth with a balance of rustic and refined.

PassionFish Bethesda Project Description:
With the success of the PassionFish restaurant in Reston, the Passion Food Hospitality Group decided to partner with Gensler again to create a new 9,000 square ft. contemporary seafood concept restaurant. Located in a prime location in Bethesda, the restaurant is the corner anchor of a new development allowing for great patio dining and high visibility in the area. The restaurant follows the nautical theme of the original Passion Fish Reston, but with a more casual feel to reflect the Bethesda community’s atmosphere and vibe. Together, Passion Food Hospitality and Gensler created a wonderful solution for fine dining that exemplifies the main design concept, “a day at the bay.”
Gensler designers focused on creating a strong first impression of the space from the moment you step foot in the space. The initial vista has been set-up to see through the main space to a customized metal fish sculpture installation strategically located at the back of the bar area. As you continue to move through the restaurant, your vista is framed by the entry lounge along with glass enclosed wine racks and a large bar at the center of the space. The entire corner of the bar seating area completely transforms with folding glass doors that open to the patio and street life beyond. There are also many different zones within the restaurant that offer a variety of experiences varying from an open casual area, small intimate rooms, a private dining area to an energetic bar with open walls to see the kitchen in action.
Overall, the space has the keen balance of raw and refined, mixing reclaimed wood elements with more refined finishes to create a casual elegance.
