Our customers love the genuine weathered exterior of our Old Growth Douglas Fir beams, but finding enough original beam face that is suitable for paneling is hard to come by.  So Viridian set out to create the textured reclaimed wood look that people crave using more affordable materials and processes.  The result is our WindWorn line of textured wood paneling.

Reminiscent of barn wood that has been worn down by the elements, we’ve taken our reclaimed Reclaimed Douglas Fir and Siberian Spruce and given them a natural looking, raked texture. The vertically sculpted lines provide a mesmerizing contrast that blurs the lines between modern and rustic.  Leave it clear for a fresh, contemporary look, or if you want to capture that rugged, old-world look you can apply a simple wiping stain to give it an aged patina.

WindWorn textures are made to order…We can keep it simple with a raked texture, or we can add bandsaw and circle saw marks to create more sculpted interest.  Getting just the right combination of texture and function is an art…all wood is precision milled for tight-fitting installation, and then we enhance the grain pattern using proprietary techniques.  The resulting texture is free from splinters and catches and durable enough for commercial environments.
